See the ears in motion
Stills don't do it justice — the whole point is that they move.
Ears that come alive
LumenEars is a wearable headband with two round, full-color displays where classic ears would be. Instead of a static shape, each ear is a little window: characters walk, blink, and play across them in real time.
The ears react to you. Tilt your head, shake it, or turn around and the scene answers. Point your phone browser at the headband and you have a controller — no app store, nothing to install — for switching worlds and starting games with friends wearing theirs.
- Two round, high-resolution screens with a real-time animation engine
- 8 animated backgrounds and characters included at launch
- Motion-reactive: tilt, shake and head tracking
- Rechargeable LiPo battery over USB-C
- New worlds and features arrive over WiFi after you get it
Two screens, one headband
Each ear is a full-color display running a real-time animation engine.
Everyone gets a whole cast
Eight animated backgrounds and characters ship on day one. Each one is hand-animated to run on the ears, with its own world behind it.
World: Moonlit Rooftops
Mood: Swashbuckling
Struts the tiles at night, cape catching the wind as you turn your head.
The Rogue Fox
Rooftop adventurer
World: Sunken Kingdom
Mood: Dreamlike
Drifts past ruined arches; her hair and the current follow your movement.
The Coral Mermaid
Deep-water wanderer
World: Nebula Skies
Mood: Cosmic
Wings full of stars. Shake your head and she banks into the clouds.
The Starlit Dragon
Night-sky flyer
World: Bamboo Grove
Mood: Regal & gentle
Crowned and unhurried, she ambles through the green with you.
The Royal Elephant
Grove sovereign
The line just became the fun part
Forty minutes deep in a queue that hasn't moved. Everyone's staring at their phone. Start a round on your ears instead.
You're the only one who can't see the screen
The ears face outward. Whoever is wearing them is the one person in the group who has no idea what's on them — which is exactly the game. Your friends see the word. You get the guesses. Everyone else in the queue watches.
Because it's a headband and not a phone, nobody has to hold anything, hand a device around, or crowd over a phone screen.
Your phone is the buzzer
The controller opens in your phone browser — nothing to install and no account. Pass rounds, keep score and pick the next game from wherever you're standing.
Friends' ears join in
Everyone wearing a pair can play together, which is why the Duo Pack and the Workshop 5-Pack exist.
More games ahead…
The party-games side of the project is in active development, and games arrive over WiFi after your ears do — so the set you get on day one isn't the set you keep.
Simple to wear. Easy to play.
Everything runs on the headband. Your phone is just the remote.
Wireless controller
Open your phone browser and you are connected. Nothing to install, no account, no app store — switch worlds, start games, change settings.
Motion-reactive
Built-in motion sensing picks up tilt, shake and head tracking, so the characters answer the way you move instead of looping the same clip.
Rechargeable
A protected LiPo cell charges over standard USB-C. No proprietary dock, no batteries to hunt down mid-day.

Conner Schnicker
Founder & Inventor
Conner Schnicker is the Founder and Inventor of LumenEars, a new take on wearable technology that lets users display custom content and play interactive games directly on their ears. With a background in technology and AI development, Conner leads the AI development team at Right Click and has experience building websites and software.
In 2025, he began turning the idea for LumenEars into a real product, leading its development from the initial concept through design, engineering, software, and prototyping. A lifelong amusement park enthusiast, Conner has visited theme parks throughout Southern California more than 100 times, giving him a deep appreciation for the experiences, creativity, and excitement that make them memorable.
Conner is passionate about creating technology that feels as fun as it is innovative. With LumenEars currently patent pending, his goal is to turn an original idea into an entirely new interactive wearable experience.

A LumenEars headband with two round, full-color screens, the full launch cast of 8 animated backgrounds and characters, the phone-browser controller, and every stretch goal unlocked during the campaign. Hardware tiers start at $189.
No. The controller runs in your phone's browser — nothing to install, no app store. You use it to switch worlds, start games and change settings.
Estimated delivery is June 2027, roughly 10 months after the campaign closes. Hardware reward tiers ship to the United States.
We've carried LumenEars from a bare circuit board to working, motion-reactive hardware — which means we've already met most of the hard problems. Here's an honest look at what's left and how we're handling it.
Certification. Wireless wearables need FCC/CE testing, which takes time and can require small board revisions. We've budgeted for a full test cycle plus one revision in both the schedule and the funding goal.
Tooling and fit. Turning our prototype housing into finalized production-ready designs is hard work. Part of this raise pays for proper tooling and a comfort/fit pass before mass production.
Battery safety. We use a protected LiPo cell and standard USB-C charging, and battery packs will be certified to the appropriate transport and safety standards before they ship.
Software polish. The engine works; the last mile is stability, tuning motion feel, and working on the party games side of the project. Firmware updates arrive over WiFi, so improvements reach your ears after delivery, too.
Fulfillment. We're planning realistic shipping windows based on the expected timeline to completion.
We used AI-assisted tools during marketing and development around the concept to give users a tangible product visual. Visuals generated — including product renders and character art — were created using AI tools, then selected and refined by our team. Actual animations are created manually, to take the concept and implement it in our current prototypes for testing.
The goal is to help people see the goal of our product, not to generate unrealistic expectations. We already have a physical prototype of the product with animations and games, and want to turn it into something everyone can love and enjoy.
